You scan occasional documents (1–3 pages at a time), don't need OCR, and are fine with a watermark on exports. The free tier is genuinely usable as a basic scanner without any time limit or nagging upgrade prompts.

You want to try all premium features without a long commitment, or you only need scanning for a specific project. The 7-day free trial lets you test everything before your first charge. You can cancel anytime from your iPhone's Subscription settings.

How billing works

All ScanLens purchases — free trials, monthly and yearly subscriptions, and lifetime — are processed through the Apple App Store. Your payment method is whatever you have set up with your Apple ID. We never see your card details. We never store payment information ourselves.

Free trial

Monthly and yearly subscriptions both include a 7-day free trial. The trial starts the moment you subscribe through the App Store paywall inside the app. Apple will charge your first payment on day 8 unless you cancel before then. To cancel during the trial, open iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → ScanLens → Cancel Subscription. You can keep using premium features until the trial ends.

Managing your subscription

Your subscription is managed entirely through Apple. To change plans, cancel, or view billing history, use iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → ScanLens. From there you can switch between monthly and yearly, cancel the subscription, or re-subscribe.

Refunds

Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple reviews each request individually. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.

Family Sharing

Premium subscriptions and the lifetime purchase can be shared with up to 5 family members through Apple Family Sharing, if you have Family Sharing enabled on your Apple ID. The family organizer's purchase is automatically available to other family members on their iPhones and iPads.
