How to reorder PDF pages in ScanLens

  1. Save a separate copy of the PDF before editing if you need the current sequence.
  2. Open the document and its page thumbnails. Move a page to the required position.
  3. Review the sequence at full size, including the cover, appendices, and any two-sided scans.
  4. Save the changes, then export and reopen the PDF to confirm the page order.

Check page count and printed numbers

Moving pages changes their sequence, not the numbers printed in their artwork. Check that the page count is unchanged and that the recipient sees the intended order. To restore the earlier version, use the separate copy you saved before editing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will printed page numbers update after reordering?

No. Numbers printed on a page move with that page. Review them separately from the PDF reader’s page index.

Can I restore the original order?

Keep a separate copy before editing. Reordering changes the library document; exporting does not preserve an untouched original there.

Does reordering delete pages?

No. Reordering changes the sequence. Check the exported page count to confirm that every required page is present.

Can I edit a password-protected PDF?

ScanLens cannot import an encrypted PDF or accept its opening password. First open the file in a compatible PDF app using the password you know and save an unprotected copy if you are authorized to do so. Import that copy into ScanLens for the next editing step.
